America’s Credit Union
The Story
America’s Credit Union was looking to make a bigger presence in the Dallas community. They had a full branch-build in the works, but the completion date was in the distance and they were not willing to make their Dallas members wait any longer. They owned an administrative office in a high-traffic area of corporate offices, and it just happened to have a large, outdated, unused space inside. But it didn’t embody the experience they are known for offering, so they couldn’t open the doors just yet…To jumpstart their strategizing process, America’s Credit Union made a trip out to DBSI’s Ideation Center for a full day of interacting with the latest retail banking innovations and technology. Through this visit, they ultimately discovered the perfect solution: a modular microbranch, known as JunXion, that offers a flexible millwork solution where different elements can be picked up and moved to its new location once ready.
The JunXion was the perfect solution in providing an immediate community presence, while shrinking their branch footprint. Better yet, America’s CU plans to uninstall this JunXion once their permanent branch is completed, allowing their tenant to absorb the space.
After the vision was defined, the DBSI team got to work at making their vision a reality!

Why JunXion was the Perfect Fit
Flex Office Space – With a flex office space incorporated directly into the design, members have a private area to have both virtual and in-person advisory-level conversations with banking experts at any time.Cash Automation – Unlocking efficiency for cash automation, this JunXion includes a Teller Cash Recycler wrapped directly in the millwork.
Quick Rollout, Increased ROI – The traditional branch takes on average 24-36 months to reach positive operating earnings – JunXion takes less than half that time. If you’re in a rush to saturate the market before your competitors do, JunXion can be deployed in as little as 18 weeks.
Low Risk, Adaptability – Let’s face it, we know things change. If new plans arise or if your new market isn’t performing as planned, the entire JunXion branch can be picked up and moved, just like America’s Credit Union plans to do when their full branch transformation is completed.

The Results
Since the launch of the JunXion, America’s Credit Union has been able to provide the Dallas community with more efficient ways to bank.By introducing a Teller Cash Recycler into this small space, America’s Credit Union was able to cut operational costs by reducing the amount of tellers, and deploying a full-service micro branch in a fraction of the time.
With three digital signage screens, members are well-informed while banking and can receive both advisory and transaction services to meet them wherever they’re at in their financial journey.
