GECU

GECU is one of the largest financial institutions in Texas with more than 400,000 members, 30 branches, and over $3.7 billion in assets. Boasting tremendous growth of 100,000 members in the last decade, GECU found themselves out of space for support staff in their operations center. 

Not only was GECU bursting at the seams, but they had heavily invested in modernizing their digital banking services and in-branch technology, so they needed more space for a high-tech command center and infrastructure to house the operations for serving their members, too.  

To accomplish this, they called long-time design-build partner DBSI. 

Management and staff feedback was incorporated right from the beginning with focus groups and staff interviews to ensure everyone’s needs were heard and captured. All feedback was synthesized and reflected in space recommendations, department adjacencies to gain efficiencies, staff amenity options, and elements that embody GECU’s culture.  

Once the plan was complete, the action started on the HQ which was guaranteed to impress. And more than just impress, DBSI focused on building a space that serves as a symbol of strength for their El Paso community by creating a staple to last for 10+ years of growth.
